Mt. Hope-ing Meeting

Rochambeau Library
From Katie Laferte: "The purpose of these meetings, according to Peter Simon, is to "revitalize" the Land Trust, and to get city and state agencies together to get more affordable housing into Mount Hope. We need to get more people to these meetings to make sure the character of our neighborhood is maintained. There has been talk of changing zoning and building high-rises."

"There will be another meeting on March 30 to begin drafting a plan to put some ideas in effect. What those ideas are depends on who shows up."

See this blog entry for more details.

Tree Planting

Camp St. at Rochambeau Ave.

There will be a tree planting on April 30, this Saturday, at the corner of Camp and Rochambeau Streets at 1:30 pm. Three trees are going to be planted on Camp Street. Plantings through the Providence Neighborhood Planting Program require resident support to happen. Help digging holes, planting trees, and providing refreshments is often appreciated. It would be nice to have support from Mount Hope for this event. Anyone wanting to fill out an application for your street to get "treed," visit pnpp.org for more information. The deadline for fall plantings is June 1st.
